We do not use gen AI to edit, proofread, format, write, or translate any of your work. In addition to bias, misinformation, and intellectual property concerns, we have also considered the environmental impact and editing quality of gen AI.
We track the changes we make to your document so that you can see what we’ve done. That way, if you don’t like it, you can change it back. Please note that you are still charged for the entire document regardless of whether you accept the changes.
We can use email, WhatsApp, or Signal to chat about the project and what you need. Then we will email all the details to you and track the changes in your document so that you can see exactly what we’ve done.
Confidentiality is of paramount importance to us. No one else will have access to your work, and no third parties are contracted without your permission. Your documents are stored on a password-protected drive.
We can work with you no matter what country you currently reside in. We’ll take your time zone into account and are happy to work in either UK or US English. International payments are accepted via PayPal or through international bank transfers.
It depends on the kind of document you have submitted and the service you require. Proofreading, for example, is faster than editing or checking references. For a thesis or long report, we require at least two weeks to complete the work.
We will send you a quote for the project. If you accept the quote, you will be required to pay a 50% deposit. You can do an EFT (for South African residents) or use PayPal to send the funds. Once we have received proof of payment, we will start work immediately. The balance of the fee is to be paid when you receive your completed document.
There is a minimum word count for proofreading and editing. If your text is shorter than 300 words, then we recommend a bundle service. A bundle service includes multiple small projects that you can redeem all at once, or one at a time over a period of six months to a year. There is no minimum requirement for formatting and reference services.
There is a surcharge for a project that needs to be completed in a timeframe that is less than we would normally advise. If, for example, you only have a week to make changes to a document that would usually require two weeks, then we will charge an extra 25% to meet the tight deadline. Please note that urgent work is only accepted if we can guarantee finishing it on time.
